Hi folks , my submission for this months two chord arrangement I went with my favourite alternative tuning Drop D , using the D and G chords ,with major fills , triads and arpeggios, normally I would use this tuning with the minor sound and hit the flat 3rd once as a passing note , the rest is all major which I think gives it a different lift.
Look forward to listening to everyone’s ideas .

Beautifully played Martin, the drone bass against that hypnotic melody I thought gave it a Celtic feel. As an original creation that was absolutely top notch.

Wonderful tune Martin! That drop D, along with the beautiful tone of your guitar works so well. Gentle licks over the deep driving rhythm. Very nice!

The Drop D is a clever idea, gives it a fresh and interesting spin. The groove and melody play together so nicely, it really feels like a familiar tune. Well done. 👍

What a great full sound you’ve gotten here Martin. Drop D was an excellent choice. Is that just recorded into the mic or are you plugged in as well?

Great idea to utilize the drop D to flavour your composition and provide a backdrop for your beautifully played melody lines.

Love that tone, Martin. Your recording setup is almost as good as your precise picking. That’s a great tune you composed. No one Drop D’s like Martin. 😀
What gauge strings do you use?James

Hi James , thanks for the comment, I use D’Addario 12 – 53 light gauge ,this guitar has just had a set up and new strings . Quite pleased with the way it sounds for a small bodied acoustic.

That was a solid performance Martin. The tone was superb. It reminded me of something by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. Just beautiful.
