This was one of my very first Active Melody lessons that I recorded. It just made a lot of sense. I recently found this, recorded about 5-6 years ago on a Jimmie Vaughn Strat. The pick ups sound toasty hot. This particular backing track is a lot slower than Brian’s version. Reminiscent of some Derek and the Dominoes. Hope you like.

Aww man – that’s INCREDIBLE! That tone is AMAZING!!!!

You’ve inspired me to learn this track next, so thanks!

              Sounds great, John.
Our former terrific administrator and my buddy, Bryce, used the solo in that lesson as one of the first solos he took in an open mic.

Really, really good John. I really like the gravely tone you picked for this one.

I recall doing this lesson in my early days with AM at full speed finger style. It was fast and i couldn’t really pull it off. Wise decision to play it slower because it still sounds just as good 👍

Nice take on this one, John. Slower with feeling and a killer tone.

Nailed it, as always, John. Everything is there – articulation, phrasing, tone and technique. Stellar. Did you ever see the version that Bob U. and I did a few years back?

I never saw this. Fantastic on all levels. Your articulation and slide are impeccable. Love the Les Paul growl.

A brilliant rendition John, it sounded beautifully thick for a Strat and was very well played!
