Nice one Sal, Every time I hear this guy I just appreciate him more. Why he’s not a household name is beyond me. Certainly been around for awhile going back to Mahogany Rush days. Really creative player and a solid voice to match.

Interesting instrument, a Gibson SG with a single coil Strat alignment complete with whammy bar. No guitar has better access to the upper frets. Is this his regular guitar?

Frank Marino is an amazing player & this song is an excellent example of his abilities
He recently had to stop performing due to an undisclosed health issue and he released this multi DVD set to generate some income. Fans didn’t know if it would ever be released because it was “in the works” for several years

Every video that I’ve seen of Frank, he’s playing a SG but like this one has Strat pickups. I’ve seen him have a SG set up with humbuckers, P90s and a Tele setup.

Here’s his version of Red House – very different than what we are used to. More like a slow blues
His version of Watchtower is excellent but also very different than what Jimi released.
He was likened to Hendrix as was Robin Trower but both players very much had their own style

Thanks for this Sal I too have not heard of him before. He is a spectacularly good player making every note count no messing all whilst so delightfully fluid.
