Yes, I enjoyed it very much.
You made your own piece of it. Great Variation.
If I’m honest, I expected You to do anything else. Great Solution!Wilfried
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Patrick! That was Awesome, perfect timing, My girlfriend is a musician and has and amazing Ear, she watches all these and she thought yours was spot on! and a beautiful tone. I agree entirely. Everyone, please listen pay attention to the beautiful lick/phrase? at 1:26 secs. You will all agree on how good that sounds! Patrick, are you sure you did not get Joe Bonamassa to record this?? HaHa! thanks for sharing, this is something to aspire to,

What jumps out at me on this is the crisp attack. It adds a wonderful dimension to the mellowness here. You set the bar quite high here.

Man, I wish I could have seen you playing this. That lead had to be fingerstyle (wasn’t it?). Love that plucking, crisp sound on the notes you get on the lead at the beginning. Then at the end sounded more like you were using a pick. So which was it?
Just a fantastic, cool vibe and sound!

Great dynamics, sense of time and…pick sound? I heard snappy pick sound all the way through. If you’re getting that with your fingers, that’s even more incredible. You sound great! I can’t say enough how great that was!

Nicely done, Patrick. I especially enjoyed the syncopation you put into your licks. What guitar are you playing? I’m guessing the Gretsch semi-hollowbody. Sounded great.

Hi Patrick,
I simply re-iterate the previous comments this is an amazing recording of your music.
Also I hope that everything is okay with your family and perhaps this event has come through into your musical interpretation into this sensitive melancholy piece. I hope it has helped you through your family affairs. Thanks for taking time to share this………cheers Bri
PS – Also thanks to Phil for highlighting 1:26 lick so I was ready to let it take me over……fantastic!

Thank you all for your positive comments and encouraging words. My father died unexpectedly, but picking up a guitar can really set your mind on positive things.
For this challenge I played my Mexican standard Strat, plugged right into the recording device to get the cleanest sound as possible. Like Brian advised, the chords, licks and first solo were played finger style; my own solo was played with a pick (you have a great ear, Larry!).
Looking forward to dig into another lesson (EP146, EP143 or EP147) and listening to your posts.
Regards,

Sorry to hear about your father Patrick – I can’t imagine how difficult that must be for you. I’m glad to see you turning to your guitar for comfort – creating music can be some of the best therapy and can definitely help.

Many thanks for your condolences, guys. I really appreciate them.
Since the old man used to be a jazz fan, I probably will post a jazzy tune within short. It cannot be a coincidence that the arpeggio-lesson EP150 was launched this week…
