I don’t know if this problem has been addressed or not but in case it hasn’t been….
A few weeks ago, I began having issues getting an error message when trying to play Brian’s lesson videos. Was getting the error message – Sign In To Confirm You’re Not A Bot
I’ve recently learned in my case, it is related to the use of a VPN
If I turn the VPN off, the videos plays as they should
Turn the VPN on and I get the error message. With the error message displayed, I can copy the URL link of the video and paste it into my address bar and the video will come up on You Tube and play without issues
It only happens on the free videos; the ones for premium members plays without a problem
Hope this helps in case anyone else is dealing with this issue

Hi Keith,
This can be very helpful. Some members actually discussed this problem with Brian during the last Zoom Meeting in December and the VPN was mentioned, as well as maybe the browser choice. Safari appeared to be the worst offender, for some reason. I think your input might also be helpful to Brian because he gets a lot of emails with complaints about this.

Glad that this has been addressed somewhat. I’ve had the issue on other websites as well so its not specific to AM
I typically use Firefox but I also have the AVG Secure Browser, that I think is based on Chrome. Edge is part of the Windows OS and I get the error message on all 3 browsers
My VPN is part of the AVG Anti-Virus/Malware package

It’s the randomness of it that surprises me. 9 times out of 10, videos open just fine for me in Safari, but that 10th time, I get the dreaded message. It’s only happened on the AM web page, and only when I use Safari. Firefox works 100% of the time. Also, sometimes if I later go back to the same AM post on Safari, the video plays just fine.

I get the intermittent variety on Safari. Some times a refresh and the opening the slow play or part two video first and then the initial lesson seems to have cleared it. I also get a not logged in message when I am logged in. Also in safari it seems I have no messages with my reply ..hmm. As all these systems become ever more complex but also capable these troubles seem to follow. In Duck duck go The search function does not leave the front lesson page or front forum page when changing the page number but the logged in error appears from time to time yet the bot problem hasn’t been so apparent! All on an IPad by the way.

The YouTube ‘sign in’ bit is still an issue with me. It certainly blows hot and cold when I use Safari on an iPad. I don’t have VPN switched on, so that’s not the issue.
Because of the strange and obscure advice to ‘log in’ (when you are already logged in) etc. I still believe it’s more about YouTube not liking users viewing videos without adverts being shown. After all they are protecting their patrons who pay good money to advertise their products. If viewers circumvent that by viewing through third-party platforms (ie ActiveMelody) the companies who pay for adverts are not getting their true money’s worth.Just a thought.
