The challenge was to use harmonies on strings 2 and 4.
I could not come up with anything of my own so I decided to play part of 2 songs using strings 2 and 4 harmonies. I hope you’ll indulge me as I attempt to get back to playing guitar!
All of the submissions I’ve listened to so far have been really good. I can’t wait to hear the rest!

Well done Joe, with a backing track it’s super easy to place those harmonized 6ths and super motivating.

Ride on the peace train, Joe. One of my favorites and a great example of using these harmonies in a song.

So a little Brown-eyed Girl action to spice up the challenge. It uses similar two-string harmony as the 2-4 one, Nice job on that. It is harder to play well than it sounds. Good lookin’ PRS, too. I have a single-cut one that I love.

I think Brown Eyed Girl was the first harmonized melody I ever learned, without knowing that’s what it was called. Great tune. Nicely played!

Well I liked it, Joe. It took me a minute to see where you were going, but it all fell into place.

Shake Off The Rust Joe. Great choice of songs. Grew up listening to a lot of Cat and Van. Perfect examples of “Real World” use of 6ths. Well done.

Great to see you back in (guitar) action, Joe! What a nice way to get back into it, the very familiar sounding melodic harmonies are so effective and easy to understand. More than just an attempt, very well done.

Joe, it’s been a good idea to harmonize a well known song. These harmonies sound so catchy.
I am glad you are joining the challenges again.
Well done.

Great choice for this challenge Joe! And very well played!

Hey Joe,
Peace, Train Holy Roller…. great song and very appropiate for using 6ths. Not sure why it did not come to mind for this assignment ….Ive listened to that song hundreds of times. I really enjoyed Cat Stevens when I was youger. Great job with Brown Eyed Girl too. Good to see you playing.
