Good day all. I have a simple riff that I created in D. This is the second take (the first had my grandchildren in it but my daughter does not want them on primetime Youtube:)) Nothing complex here just something I came up with which could be developed later.
My youngest son gets video credit and my grandkids get ….making noise in the background credit.
I went to my first jam session last Wednesday and it was fun. I learned a lot about playing with others and introducing a song. Great fun.
Hope everyone is well. I am on the road this month so I will check out your vids when I depart TN.
Cheers.

Hi Pap. Great video before a beautiful scenery. The bleating of the goats is a nice background feature- very clever of you to implement that in your composition. 😉 great arrangement 😊
The riff sounded good as a starting point to develop this further into a song. 👍🏽
Cool to hear about your first jam- session. Apart from my playing with Manfred, I never have been to a session. You have to report about this experience in the next Meetup. Greetings gs to your family. 👋🏽Bluesige Grüße

Pap
Your steady improvement is noteworthy. It’s pretty impressive that you are jamming’ away out in the country with all sorts of animals not too far from Nashville. Great stuff!JH

First off all, great video, with that beautiful countryside landscape and goats and kids voices and everything: one can easily see you’re just enjoying very much your family reunion and joyfulness is all around! And this reflects in your joyful country composition, very enjoyable to listen to!

Great post, the sound of your guitar in the great outdoors is wonderful, not to mention the impressive animal impersonations the children do!
We need more outdoor stuff like this, nice one Pap. Congratulations on the jam session too, that’s a big step. -

Wow, that was great Pap! It sounded like the beginning to a beautiful composition. Really wonderful. I hope to hear more about your first jam session and trip to TN.

That country life suits you and this playing Pap.
Good on you for getting out to a jam. It’s nerve wracking, but kind of like recoding for challenges, the more you do it the easier it becomes.
What sort of jam was it? Bluegrass? Blues?-

Bill, it was a mix of everything. There was a young man (22) who knew a lot of different genres and he was good at leading when it was his turn. He knew some old time fiddle tunes (what I am learning) and was fun to play with. I learned so much during the two hour jam that I took notes afterwards. Really great experience and super nice group of musicians. Hope your trip is going well. Cheers. Pap

You don’t shy away from anything, Pap. Your first Jam-Session and few days ago und now you even are jamming along with goats. 🤣
But you’re doing it just right and I admire your enthusiasm. And in your contribution you show impressively how far that takes you. Great acoustic riff that you recorded in passing in this wonderful scenery.
Go on your way, Pap!Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup is expected to take place in November 2025There will be a detailed announcement here in the forum in good time.
I look forward to meet you.

Glad you made it, Pap. Nice strummed riff, keep developing it.
My daughter’s exactly the same, no grandson on the world wide web, strict orders.

Nice picking, Pap. The goats seemed to be listening to your riff’s. I liked them too. Your daughters rural county living is something most of us are far removed from. Have a great time.

Hi Pap, that was really nice. I liked the unexpected tones as you moved up the neck, and a slight twist with a new chord tossed in near the end. Great country feel which perfectly matched your backdrop. You and that guitar get around a lot!

This looks like a bliss, Pap! Guitar, kids and goats, and sunshine in a Nashville neighborhood – who could beat that?? Great playing and kudos for finding local jams (I’m sure everyone plays music in Nashville 😉 )

Great stuff Pap, you like like you’re enjoying every second, as well you might. Great introduction for a song – I can’t get over the way it sounds so natural in the open air.
