Hello everyone. I’m a new premium member and still getting a feel for the website. I was reading the forums earlier and somebody mentioned that EP338 (Creative Rhythm Ideas – Rhythm Fill Licks plus a Simple B.B. King Style Lead) was one of their favorite lessons of all time. I then saw that lesson has over 1,000 “Favorite” hearts, so it made me curious if I could sort or search for the most popular lessons on the website? I presume I can’t but thought I would ask in case I’m missing something.

        Thank you in advance.

        Regards,
        Bill

          Hi Bill,

You’re not missing anything. There isn’t an option to do that here on the site but you can do that on Active Melody Youtube channel’s main page. Go to ‘Videos’ and sort them by ‘Popular’.

However, I think that’s a dubious metric because the older videos have the advantage of time. For example, the top 3 videos with the most views on YT are from 12-14 years ago, naturally.

Thank you JoLa. I appreciate the response and the YouTube recommendation! Very clever!

            Regards,

Hi Bill – Interesting question. Maybe the best answer would come from us Forum members, rather than a review of statistical data from Youtube or the AM website. As Jola says, the older the video, the more views that can accumulate. A few years ago, someone asked the same question. As I recall, we concluded that most of us have several “favorite” lessons, often in different genres. And maybe for some people it depends on whether it’s for acoustic vs electric guitars. Or what about a lesson that just teaches a concept or technique?
