I’ve watched quite a few videos of Kirk Fletcher playing and also teaching blues guitar. I think he seems like one of the nicest humans on the planet. It was sad to learn he suffered a stroke back in July while on stage. Here’s a YT video of him from a week ago discussing the stroke and how he’s moving forward to offer private guitar lessons.

Thanks for sharing Joe. I hadn’t heard about that. Kirt seems to be doing well in a short amount of time. I had a stroke back in January. Playing guitar again was difficult for me. My picking right hand would miss stings and not be in sync with the left. My Dr encouraged me to stick with it and playing became like therapy that reconnected my brain and body. Luckily, Brian’s lessons at that time were a perfect fit and not too fast. I could feel it slowly coming back week after week.

Here’s a video of Kirk from several nights ago. I think it was his first public performance since his stroke in July. Sounds really good to me!
