November 6, 2022 at 9:08 pm #324707I used “You are my sunshine” for my exercise. First verse in cowboy position, second verse a nod to the melody, verse 3-4 get a little bluesier. Recorded on Quicktime with my Blackstar Fly. The original video sounded good to me (a little cleaner,) but the YouTube upload is a little hot; not sure what’s up with that. :/ Anyways, thanks for listening!

November 7, 2022 at 4:06 am #324764What a clever idea/rendition. Sounded smoking’ hot I might add as well. You outline the chord changes nicely with imaginative licks, runs and riffs. Well done. John H.

November 7, 2022 at 12:39 pm #324912That is a great idea Alan: Take a well-known lick/riff/song and make it your own. We had a Challenge with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star recently. Nicely done!!! B Bob U. (aka Bobby Ut)

November 7, 2022 at 1:16 pm #324928Hearing it like that makes me appreciate the mechanics of the music, how it all ties together. That’s begging for a vocalist and a drum or another guitar. Great job on what you played! Don D.
