Hello everyone
Having never played slide I figured I’d try it back in January. The glass slide I started with wasn’t a great fit for my pinky and I started to get some wrist pain so I took a break from slide until I got this brass slide that is a perfect fit. My goal was to post EP236 but I’ve only made through the first part, I’ll post it next time Brian drops an open challenge. Still along way to go in developing the touch, feel and control that it takes to be a decent slide player but it’s been a great side trip on my guitar learning journey. I worked little Red Rooster into my slide practice routine so I thought I’d give it ago.

Outstanding, Scott! Man, you killed it. That’s the Scott I know, come home to roost!
Great playing, energy, and vocals. Progress to max on slide, I’d say, counting the singing while playing.

It wasn’t too long ago you said you wanted to work on your finger style. Now you got the slide going with that and your voice sounds better than ever. That is stage ready, my friend. That Little Sister never sounded so good.

Scott, that was so great! Love that groovy song. Man you have come already far with your slide playing! All in pitch. You have great vocals!! The brass bottleneck goes better with your beautiful guitar😉.
I liked your laughing at the end😆😁😄.

Wow, Scott, that was a blues performance, that have all it needs. Great slide playing (can‘t believe you are new to it), great vocals (Scott, you‘re really a blues singer) and so much blues feel to it and so much joy of playing, which comes out in your laughter in the end. That‘s really an inspiration.

There it is indeed Scott. It sounds like you have been watching Justin Johnson for six months. That slide was sick! Your vocals have a great grit as well and really sounds tight with this piece. You killed this one. Definately my favorite of all your posts. Cheers. Pap

Wow, Scott! You’re a real deal – a stage-ready performer with professional skills, including great recording quality! Playing slide and singing blues – that’s gotta be the first one on here, and man, you nailed it! I don’t care what you say about your slide playing because the whole performance was simply outstanding and sounded was good as I can imagine. You’re my hero 🙂 👌👏🤩👏👌🎸JoLa

Amazing Scott!! You’re a natural slide player and singer. Loved hearing your performance. Your slide lick – and great sound – reminded me of Jimmy Page playing “In My Time of Dying” … it’s another v cool song, from another great slide player. Your B&G sounds beautiful in your hands.
Cheers, Tom

Scott,
You said you worked it into your slide practice routine – THAT is definitely a stage-ready performance!!
I love the tone of your guitar, the tone of your voice and the color scheme of your video! That bronze mic is a real jewel! Mine is the standard chrome but I love it!I brought a “Little Red Hen” to the July Challenge, I was thrilled to find your “Little Red Rooster” here as well. Yours – a most ‘eggcelent’ submission! :o)
