MicroLesson: 071 – Going from major to minor pentatonic scale by string bending

Description

In this MicroLesson (ML071), you’ll learn how to over-bend a string in the major pentatonic scale (1 1/2 bend) which is a note from the minor pentatonic scale. So you’ll stay in one position of major, and bend to minor.

A deep dive into bending all over the neck would be a worthy lesson. I never did much bending until I stated learning it here.

This was a nice micro-lesson Brian. And I agree with your choice of using the a shape over the G shape. I think the A shapes is a lot easier to use over the neck.

Thanks, I’ve been thinking about that very thing lately.

You could almost devote a full length lesson to this. But I do like the micro lessons.
