I watched the videos, printed the tab and jumped in. And I quickly learned I was struggling. After a couple of days of trying to play the tab, it was time to change my approach.
I rewatched the videos with the printed tab and a pen. I noted the time stamp on various phrases and made note of what Brian was teaching. Brian teaches harmonized sixths and thirds, minor chord voicings, points out some country licks, sus2 and sus4 chords, triads, barre shapes and so much more in just over 30 minutes of videos.
This is an amazing lesson. I understood all the concepts he mentioned, but I am way behind on my application and technique. There are enough concepts here to fill a daily practice time for a couple of weeks.
Thank you Brian. Your work is so appreciated CC.
Trying to make my guitars sound as good as they look.
I also print out the tabs like you do, and make notes on them most of the time. But we are in the minority. From what I’ve seen, most members don’t print out the tabs. I’m old fashioned, because I have a music stand and put my tabs on it.
