Hi everyone!
Here is my attempt at the January Challenge for 2021.I found it challenging. Calling and answering is something I’ve had difficulty with. As a folk musician, I normally play chords and let someone else play lead. So thank you, Brian for forcing me to try both!

Brotha you could be playing for the Byrds or Dylan. Really enjoyable. Tres melodic. Great fills between chords and the Tele sounds wonderful. Great stuff.

What a great country blues song, Michael! You did not seem like you had any troubles at all, the melody seemed to flow from under your fingers. That’s probably because you’re good at playing rhythm, I think good rhythm chops are the most important aspects of guitar playing.

You didn’t appear to be having much difficulty with the call and response element of the song. I thought that was well played and flowed along nicely.

Very well played Michael. You seem pretty competent and confident covering the fret board there. Had a country/blues feel, very enjoyable. All the best!

Great, Michael. Nice melody played fluently.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Michael, for someone who never plays the lead, that was really great. You sound like you could play in a band. I always love your workshop too. Saw that old dial phone today and wondered if you had it hooked up:) Cheers man. Pap

I wouldn’t have thought you had trouble playing solo like that before. It’s amazing how these challenge push us towards being better players. Great job!
