For Blues soloists…
I’m looking for advice on making improvements to raking into notes. Often, when I rake into a note on the b or high e string, I get vibration and some noise from my d sting. Does anyone have any advice on how to more effectively mute strings when raking into notes? I attempt to mute the strings I’m using for the rake, but I still seem to get some vibration.

Hi Leo, A rake technique I found that seems to work well is to lightly bar the muted strings with the index finger, and use the middle finger play the note you’re after. Let me know how it works for you.
