Lovely stuff there John, nice slow groove and melody.
Ive not picked up a guitar in ages. You have now given me the notion to look that backing up and have a noodle around.
Merry Christmas to you and yours...Billy..

Well played John. Yes, as Lights said, you’re inspiring us to put more emphasis on improvising. And Quist is definitely a revelation too isn’t he? All the best!

Awesome blues John. Your embellishments are all great: slides, bends, staccatos, and chord tones, etc. They’ll work together to put a lot of feelings to your playing, the way blues is supposed to.
Have a wonderful Christmas, and the rest of the holiday seasons!

That’s superb John, thanks for sharing!
I love the tone, are you using compression, right?
Nice use of the 6th string as well, it sounds like a bass guitar.

John.
I love your improvising. I’m just now getting the courage to start trying to put out the music I hear in my head but have felt I don’t have the talent to express. Your playing inspires and encourages me. Many thanks

Just saw this. Ah the slow blues, my favorite form. John, nice work on slides and vibrato, listened to whole song nodding head… Love Em excellent choice!

That’s the blues! You hit all the right notes. I was jamming along. I liked the bass notes in your solo at the end, I’m going to try to incorporate those more.
Thanks for posting,
Michael
