I have watched Gabriella’s fingerstyle technique over the years and this one is another superb performance. For those of us that follow or play this percussive style, this should be a treat. Interesting to note she doesn’t necessarily keep a consistent percussive 2/4 beat going and that delicate tap seems to be done with the middle and ring fingers only on just a few inside strings.
        I hope you enjoy

Yes, excellent fingerstyle playing, Richard. I like the delicate tap you mention, and also the way that she lets the strings ring as she does it. The more strongly percussive effect on damped strings we more often see is less to my taste I have to admit. She also seems to be using long right hand nails, which I assume are artificial ones. Sometimes nails this long can lead to a rather hard sound, it seems to me, but Gabriella’s sound is very pleasing.

Oh yes, she is always a treat to watch and listen to. I am a fan of hers!
Her nails are acrylic, the sound she produces is amazing, so crisp and clear!

And to imagine that she arranges the songs totally by ear, she doesn’t know music theory – is just mind-blowing to me. I would think she knows some theory NOW after all those years but when she first started (and was good at it) she didn’t even know the names of the chords she was playing. That’s fascinating to me!

Excellent piece, that was a treat. Must look at other work she has done. Poetry in motion.
