Hello gang,
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a video, mostly due to my squished video dilemma. Those were using an older ipad with very limited capacity. I’ve since purchased a bigger and better one. I hope 🤞. Watching Bob’s take on this lesson a few days ago and his comment about not playing his acoustic very often got me thinking 🤔 why not try the irig recorder using the new iPad and dust off the Martin at the same time. So thank you Bob and a big thank you to Richard G who posted a “how to” upload to YouTube from irig on an iPad, this also wouldn’t work with the older ipad but worked great with the new one! Much easier.

Thanks John, irig recorder is an app. So I’m recording straight into my iPad, irig recorder captures both video and audio. You can see I’m kicked back on my Covid couch with the iPad sitting right there. It’s extremely simple to use. I should mention too it has some enhancements. In this case I’ve added about 5% reverb. Makes it sound a bit fuller.

Rob the tone is coming over very full. I have the sure mv88 and it works wonders over my Iphone 8 mic, there is no comparison. I know how nice a good Martin sounds because I am lucky enough to have one and the recording is coming over very clearly. Maybe you have some new Strings on to give you a little extra but it is indeed a great tone. If you have a chance to plug in an MV88 any time I would be very fascinated to know what you made of the difference. If it upped your sound from this it would be a truly pro level in my book but this seems to be there anyway…perhaps my ears are more suspect than I know!
