New addition for PRS a parlour solid mahogany top ebony fretboard bone but saddle 24.72 scale 14 frets to body about 490 $ for the model without pickup sounds interesting sounds like he is hitting the fretboard with slide so maybe the string action is a bit low as he states.

Interesting addition to the parlor guitars of the world. I wonder how they will sell, since PRS is so famous for their line of electric guitars. When people think electric, they think of PRS, Gibson, and Fender. When they think acoustic, they think Martin and Taylor for quality, and Yamaha for price.

Yes the PRS acoustics are not as popular as the electrics the SE models are made in South Korea and are a lot cheaper than a Gibson or a high end Martin. PRS Tony McManus Private Stock signature model sells for nearly 9k and reverb has a used one at around 6k so high end PRS acoustics maybe not holding value as well as a high end Martin.

Justin Johnson also has a cheapish Martin J Cash dreadnaught he likes and he makes both the chesp Martin and PRS Parlour sound good, so PRS worth checking out if anyone is looking for a small parlour when shops open again I think.

Ok, so Justin Johnson can make anything sound good, that’s for sure – but I gotta say this is one of the best guitar reviews I have ever watched. He pretty much covered everything, played plugged and unplugged, even bothered to play slide. Watching him play anything is just mesmerizing for me. Needless to say, I want this guitar now 🙂 Surprisingly it is very affordable!

Yeh no doubt PRS looked out a good one for him some interesting playing about 17 mins in I’ve heard some of the licks before but cannot name it, the left thumb looks like it’s going over the top to fret. Him and the wife have isolated and have released a lot of videos to fill in time during Covid some of which are good.

I know what you mean about that playing at the end, it sounded familiar to me, too. The chord progression sort of reminded me of “South Paw Serenade” by Eric Gales, maybe?

Thanks I had a listen to Eric Gales quite good, but the bit from 17 minutes in Justn’s video almost has a classical sound, maybe I will find it some day🤔
