Ok, so this track was fun to learn – but wow, what a pain to record. Nothing has ever given me red-light-panic like this. It’s just me and the guitar and amp (with click track to keep me steady) – but every time I started recording my mind panic’d as there was no backing track or supporting instruments. A real mental challenge for me.

Anyhow, after many takes I managed to finally get through this one.

It all sounded pretty good from here and I certainly didn’t detect any mis-haps along the way. Nice posting, btw, what method did you use to record it?

Yup, these stand alone lessons are challenging for sure. No place to hide, haha. Maybe several takes but this one is pretty much perfect.
I actually did this myself a few months back as one of the monthly challenges. A fun lesson with some cool takeaways.

Hi Wanna Play Blues! Bob here! That sounded wonderful!! You have major Ninja skills my friend! My only advice if I may please. I suffer from this as well: Let’s get this recorded please! So, on one of those sleepless nights and you are exhausted and want nothing more than to sleep!!! Pick up your gitfiddle, no warm up and play “behind the beat” for no way you can keep up! I’ve been told from many peeps that I tend to “rush or push” the tempo. That’s because I am from da “burgh (Pittsburgh, PA) and we wanna git ‘er dun! Which is horrible for the Blues! So, what some of my peeps have told me: “Bob, if you think you are behind, you are right on time!” Rock and Blues on my friend! Bobby Ut

So nice. Much expression going on.

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

We are our own worse critics. I usually take 10-15 takes to get a clean one on a relatively new piece. That one sounded great to me. Very smooth. Keep it up! Let’s hear more.

Your recording and playing is perfect.
