I questioned Bruce Lindquist, who has a great You Tube channel with song demos, about the same thing

He said that he is using an older version of Adobe Premiere Elements, you might be able to find a freeware program to do the same thing

          Here\s one of Bruce’s videos

            Hi Andre,

I use iMovie on my Macbook to put together videos. There are many ways to do it, depending on your creativity, but the basic idea looks like this:

I record videos with my phone and I record the audio track(s) to Garageband. I then load the videos and the Garageband audio file into a iMovie project and then just synch them together. The videos will show their own audio tracks that you may either mute or detach after synching. The synchronization is not as hard as you may think, you can make the audio waveforms look bigger and just align them to match.

If you want to include both videos at the same time, you can just stack them on top of each other and use one of the video overlay settings to choose how you want them to show, i.e. split screen, picture in picture, etc.

It is tricky to explain every single detail, it is best to just play with it and the more you use it the better you get over time. I think it is best to start with something simple first. I’d be happy to help if you have more specific questions.

              Thx JoLa,

Ok so its the same as regular video?
Except you drop the two videos and the two soundtrack in the program and synch them?

Yes, Andre, you can basically combine multiple videos and multiple audio tracks together on iMovie.

If you want, you don’t even have to do a separate audio track, you could just combine the videos together. I record a separate audio track for better quality audio.

Once you are happy with the whole project, you can upload it directly to your YouTube account.
