Funny story goes along with this buy,
I fancied a RC-30 loop station ever since Sunjmr Steve wrote about the things he can do on his RC-30..
Anyway, the story starts on Friday night when browsing the guitar buy and sell pages on facebook( I was going to unload a couple more guitars and a Marshall amp) I came across the ad, it was up for £110, I wasn’t sure at that price seeing as it was used.I was away at a bikers get together on Saturday and put the RC-30 to the back of my mind.
This morning when I checked the ad, the asking price was dropped to £95 so I messaged the seller saying I would take it off him and asked for his address.Turned out the chap was in Cumbernauld which is about a 30 min drive from my house, we arranged a time for me to head over, so at 7p.m. tonight I put the address into my sat nav and set off..
The chap was waiting at his front door when I arrived, he noticed the private cab phone number in my rear window and asked how long I had worked for Southside, I said how do you know about southside( Cumbernauld is not an area we cover), Oh I used to live over that way. And this is where it gets funny. He said the name of the street he used to live on, which happens to be the street I live on, then he said his mom still lives there.
I asked him who his mom was, turns out I was at school with his mom.. hahahaha
First girl I ever kissed when I was about 5 too..hahaha

There’s a looper out there named Hvetter who is a master of the RC-30. You should study some of his videos to watch how he does it. I don’t always understand what he’s doing, but I get most of it. Here’s a good one:

I’ve never heard him use the built-in drum tracks, but I do it all the time. You have to have either the metronome or the drum track going or else auto sync won’t work. If you have any questions, you can PM me. I know a bit about loopers, but I’m far from an expert. I need to spend more time watching how-to videos on Youtube, and there are plenty to choose from.

So ……………… does this purchase mean our Billy’s back on track? I hope so.
In UK for a month at the moment and no guitar!! ‘least not until I get to daughters in Birmingham at the end of the month.
Meanwhile it’s good to see you are buying your way out of the malaise Billy. If in doubt go and buy a bit more kit. No bad thing.

Sadly not Martyn,I still have quite a lot of songs running around in my head but so far this year the urge to pick up a guitar has lingered in the background, though I’m still doing work on guitars for others, set ups and minor repairs when I get the time..
Maybe now the new loop station will do the trick..fingers crossed eh.
