I recently saw this video where Josh White explains the crucial importance of learning rhythm and fill. It forced me to face the fact that I know almost nothing about that skill. I’m just a lead-playing robot.

Then, as I was downloading some of the recent lesson materials, to my surprise, I realized that Brian has lately been producing lessons that focus on rhythm & fill. For example, EP325 (Motown style), EP324 (soul), and EP320 (blues). Based on what Josh says, we should all dig deep into this skill set.

yes it’s new lesson really emphasizes the importance of Rhythm and how to put that feeling of fill im there really a great lesson

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Very interesting and helpful for realizing the importance of rhythm Guitar. My “only” problem is, to get enough ideas for real groovy rhythm-Guitar playing with fills and licks.
