You alluded to many, good parts of an improvisation. It was like a brainstorming and patchwork. Since you can certainly put together something great and order bring in. Sound and played as always great.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

I did this off the cuff sortta speak.. some participant i was addressed to here under latest topics had asked if anybody here ever did EP123 up to par like Brian.. so I answered in about 15 minutes to look it up rehearse it ..
.. have about four years here as premium member.. what I know now I wish I learned forty years ago lol .. but I am very happy to be able t take requests nowadays!.. I don’t want to sound cocky but I can just about complete any lesson within a few hrs just following the tab!
I accept the challenge , it is interesting to see if there is one lesson here I would have difficulty with nowadays..
I feel it in my fingers.. even the slide lessons.. anything here I missed I want to try too! .. okay ..this Friday morning I’m out by the garden again practicing for my July challenge entry
thanks fort the inspiring comments and all I wish is to share the same here what Brian teaches us here on and on lol enjoy!

I’d just started following the 123 thread an heard this there.
Soundwise it came over well
Great playing and it seemed very much like you connect with the style of the lesson

Yes am out of hospital but laid up, op went reasonable but my post op recovery is a bit slow.
Today is the 1St day since I had the surgery I felt like reading much, been a bit zombied out to be honest, never did get on well with the really strong pain killers and only just been able to lower the dosage.

John This would not play for me as YT is reporting an error no doubt it will get fixed. I think the real challenge in this piece will be the tempo of the Lead parts good luck! JohnStrat

johnstrat not syre why it seems to work here and on youtube, you aren’t missing nothing believe me it was a revisit and only spent about 15 minutes on this ,, the point I was making was filling a request and sharing some pointers as what these forums are about,,someone here asked if anyone could do this ep123 .. when I looked up the lesson I did something with it .. tell you though, the little yamaha thr10c and the software editor is fun to mess around with, i’m learning how to customize the effect settings using the editor program. Anyhow not sure if i’m leaving later tonight or early to take a weekender to my camper lol

Johnstrat, I looked up your profile,, you do not have your PM option open,,was going to try to private message you what might be why you got an error and perhaps because i opted to stop running applications on my mobile device LTE ANDROID apps were running constantly so I changed permissions limiting those apps ..I now set my mobile device to limit them running and turn them on and off manually..perhaps limiting oversea connectivity.. not sure though it could be on your end..enjoy!

Dieter, I read you, there are many styles I try for fun and experiencing a challenge,, like in example , I don’t bother much with shredding but I do like to push my skills to the limit .. that last Eric Johnson “Steve’s Boogie” is still very difficult and that’s just fast country style dounle stop hybrid picking.. man some of the stuff I watch on youtube makes my jaw drop lol.. but the thing is to take small steps..at least I try to familiarize with a lot of different genres
Brian does a very good job keeping us busy like that with weekly lessons..it also helps us all break out of the box and most these short lessons are relatively fun and easy unlike some stuff that I try that take much longer to learn.
Each of us will learn at our own speed but the best tip I can give anyone reading this far into it,, go it slow and learn how to make the most out of each time practicing..
I try more each day to focus more..be more observant as to what chords/scales and theory I guess is the best way to term it.
learn how to follow the timing and position the fingers on the fret board to get the patterns smooth to tempo..
Brian’s videos help along with the soundslice so everything is really here..the featured tools are here.. it’s just a matter of taking the time to practice. okay think I’ll hold off that camp trip tonight.i;m enjoying the pool it is warm out there lol probably leave late tomorrow afternoon

I’ll be getting back to this lesson and do it some justice, closer and with the solo /lead part,, i just had a very fun time learning 319,, but not going to showplay it ..give somebody here else a chance first.. I also made up a cool theme for ep 319.. I’ll have that tight after I get back from my weekend trip.
My thanks to Active Melody friends and Brian you amaze me,, ep 319 is awesome!

P.S. Sorry for the misname, John. I confused Sunburst with Sunjamr in my brain, and therefore said “Steve” instead of “John,” if you get my drift. But anyway, that was fantastic improv, Sunburst. You rock!
