  Hi everyone,
  This lesson is really cool, I can’t stop playing it, it is sort of mesmerizing…
  Makes me think of The Shadows.
  Anyway I borrowed this nice amp (VOX AC15) from a friend, so I thought I would do a recording with it. I have included a video rig rundown at the end, so be patient 😉
  Also, since the latest trend seems to be fingerstyle, I tried that too. At about 2:00 I change to fingerstyle.

  That sounded really really good! Interesting tone differential between the pick and just playing fingerstyle – liked them both. The Vox sounds terrific. You know you may wish to check out the amplugs that Vox has as they are really good I think. I have a Blues and a Clean amplug and they also have an AC30. Worth checking out as they are around $40 and portable of course as you can play thru headphones or plug into an amp as an output source.

  Very well played Peter, very enjoyable to listen to and congratulations for the fingerstyle section. I loved the tone. Thanks for the gear run-down but what do you use for a camera?

  I too have been mesmerised by this lesson, it’s just really haunting.
  
  Really nice tone, good comparison of styles, and you seem to have a nice natural reverb from your playing space.

  Morning Peter, I can also hear overtones of Hank Marvin playing.1st I have heard this lesson, hooked me in enough to add this to my “to learn” folder..

  Peter, I’ve been away but did catch your post earlier in the week and thought it was one of your best, sure made me want to tackle the lesson. Congratulations on both styles, I think the fingerstyle gets even more out of the piece. Love the tone out of the Vox, could cause some severe G.A.S. of the gear variety.

  Peter, that was great. With fingerstyle you produce a little more heat in the sound, I like that very much. You also played great emotional!
  
  Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

  Yes indeed the Shadows! You did a great job, Peter. AC-15 is probably very good amp, my bandmate has one and it rings cool.

  Peter, nice job! Played excellently and of course your tone is superb as well. A little Mark Knopflerish I might add. My son once told me that my best guitar tone came from a Vox AC15 amp! Job well done.

  Peter liked the tone you played it really well. I’m currently using the new Boss Katona amp 45 inbuilt presets that you can also customise on your computer retails at £160 here in the uk . Check it out on YouTube. Once again well done
