I bought myself a Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar today. I didn’t mean to, but as soon as I played it at the guitar shop the only thing I could think was: “You are coming home with me”.
It’s a sunburst brown one, and oh man how incredible sweet the sound is both when using the actuator or just plain vanilla with the actuator turned off.I highly recommend you try one of these TransAcoustic guitars from Yamaha if you get the chance. I dismissed the whole thing as a toy, but once I heard how it sounds in real life I completely changed my mind. I now think this might be the future of acoustic guitars.
It set me back about 1200$ but I’m not regretting it for a second. You’ll see me playing it in videos later on, and although you can’t really appreciate how it sounds when playing it yourself from a video, I hope I can convey some of it through a recording. Here’s a URL with more info.
