(DAW) ABLETON AND MOTU DIGITAL INTERFACE 03/29/2020
HELP HELP, I’VE FALLIN AND I CAN’T GE UP!So, I’m just starting my adventure into learning how to record my music via Ableton DAW software and my Motu digital Audio Interface for the computer. PC (not Apple). So far, I have purchased and installed the software and hardware, uploaded the drivers and updates. I’m beginning to learn the software interface a little. Also, I’ve been successful in recording my guitar onto my computer in a .wav file format using this stuff. Basically, that’s all I’ve done so far by myself. I’ve been able to experience the difference between recording with Ableton and simply recording through my webcam. What a difference! It’s Awesome! Now I’m hooked.
The problem now is that I am apparently more of a beginner than all the YouTube videos and Ableton Videos and Skillshare.com videos expect me to be. They all expect a little more knowledge from the user than I have. In other words, they don’t start at the beginning. So that’s what I’m looking for and willing to pay for. Through this learning site called Skillshare, they have 3 Ableton Certified Teachers out of Seattle that teach but I haven’t been able to connect with any of them.
So…….If anyone is or knows somebody that is interested in teaching me this product and can do it online with some video-sharing program, please let me know. It would even be better to have a program that lets the instructor actually get on your computer with you, like so many companies do these days like Dell, McAfee, Quicken, etc.
At this point, I’m not looking to become some whiz kid (or actually whiz ol’ man) at this and knowing everything about it. I simply want to be able to record Video, Vocals and my guitar using “Ableton Live Intro 10.1” so that when I upload our monthly Challenges to ActiveMelody.com each month I can get a more professional-looking video. For now, I’d be happy to be able to just record two tracks (rhythm and lead) together so it comes out as one audio file. I figure that’s a good starting point but I fear I need one on one teaching.
I other words HELP HELP, I’VE FALLIN AND I CAN’T GE UP!
THANKS,
