Joined AM back in 2015 and wasn’t sure about renewing again for this year. Home life has been a bit er..difficult during the last year or so and I’m not getting as much guitar time as I would like anymore, So I’ve hummed and hawed over the last few days and still couldn’t make my mind up.
Anyway, I logged in to check my account today and it has auto renewed, ” IT LOOKS LIKE YOU POOR SOULS HAVE ME FOR ANOTHER YEAR…”What would I do without interaction with you guys and girls anyway.. hahahaha

Well, Billy. Just think of motorcycles and guitars and your friends here on Active Melody and you’ll be just fine.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

Billy Millar is a taxi driver from Glasgow, better known throughout the world for his guitar playing. He is a world renown guitarist, known in New Zealand, Australia, all over the continent of America (Yes, even in Alaska, although it’s been a bit quiet lately), Germany, France, Spain, loads of places, all over the world. Even Estonia knows and appreciates the guitar playing of our Billy. Did I mention Scandinavia, Britain and The Netherlands. Can you believe that he was even entertaining the idea of giving up this world wide acclaim!
Billy, you cannot walk away from your dedicated followers ………… ever! Don’t even think about it ever again. Think about this …. how many hours do you have to work to pay the annual subscription? How many pints of Guinness would be equal to the subs …. probably 25? Mind you after 25 Guinness you could probably shred with the best!!
Happy New Year to you and all your loved ones my friend, it’s a pleasure to know you’re still with us.

If you hadn’t thought so hard about renewing or not, you probably would have remembered to check whether your account was set up for auto-renewal. I am glad fate took this decision out of your hand, you might have done something stupid otherwise. Good to have you, Billy, the forum wouldn’t be the same without you. 2017 was a lost year for me, guitar-wise, this year was much better. May be it’s the same with you in 2019 and you will get more guitar-time again. I hope. Happy New Year to you and all other AM-forumers.

What are you guys like, trust you to see the bigger picture Martyn…
Best wishes to all you guitar heroes out there for 2019.
Lets see if I can fit in some practise time for this monthly challenge and possibly play you all some jazz....Billy..

I’m very glad that you missed the date!
Remember when I tried to encourage folks here to add something, overdub a solo or anything really to one of my videos, and you completely stunned us by revealing your beautiful voice?
You were the only one that understood the underlying point I tried to make. The point being; to get creative and enjoy ourselves.Well I remember.
This year I’m not renewing because of Brian. I’m going to renew because of you and what you did last year! What a thing to be in the position to maybe have another such cool experience again!
You rock Billy!

Ah man, now you have gone and stumped me. Real fantastic compliment you gave me Johan, I couldn’t not sing along to your amazing guitar playing, It was an age since I last sung a so
ng before that attempt, would I like to sing more?? I sure would but I’m not sure after my op last year that I can without whistling like a demented budgie trainer.. hahahaha
I have always fancied singing “loney Stranger”, so if you want to play It, then I’ll try vocals on It, probably won’t work but no harm in trying though but it will atleast give me something to practise on.
Thanks again for the compliment mate, even if I am left a little stunned by it.. JB blues band rocks..hahaha..Billy..

Was over visiting the kids last week, my granddaughter was playing some YouTube stuff, so I said hey your grandad is on there, and fired up Johans channel…word is I hurt her ears.hahaha..Billy..

Renewal date tomorrow. Took some time away to heal some finger joint problems last year. Then I spent a few months learning covers.
While not blessed with an abundance of ability, playing guitar is fun at any level of achievement.
I goof around too much and just have fun mostly. But the past few months things have started to click a little bit, and I’m playing more.
I have learned a lot from Brian and also from the members of this forum.
So thank you all. I think I will stick around a little longer. -

I’m glad you’ve decided to stay a while Richard. I know how you feel regarding having a bit of time off learning covers, I do the same, to me it’s a refreshing distraction. Anyway your last post was a good example of improvising over a loop pedal, we need to hear more ……

I’m glad you have signed up for another year too, you guys are always impressive when you showcase your playing, I’m still struggling to find learning/practise time but I do pop in as often as I can to read and listen.

I’m glad you also stayed here. I love your input to the forum, and when you find time to post your playing, it has been very good for quite awhile now. I look forward to the next one.

..enjoyI took a day out last summer to go rainbow trout fishing, flyfishing used to be a big passion of mine but for some reason i fell away from it about 15 or more years back. Would be nice if I can have another day on the water this year.
We don’t really get bad winters anymore so heavily frozen lochs are a thing of the past, Winter grayling fishing in -5 was about as extreme as it got for me I am glad to say....Billy..
