Are any of you members of ultimate-guitar.com? If you search for tabs on Google, they are usually the first web site that pops up. They have an Ultimate Guitar Pro version that gives you some benefits, though I’m not sure what. It used to be that you could not print out their tabs unless you signed up, so I always just did the copy/paste thing. Now I see that you can click on the Print button and it will let you print the tabs. I’ve always been leary of the site because it originates in Russia, the world capital of hackers. But it is said to be the largest guitar resource site on the internet, with 12 million members, and it’s been around since the 90s. What’s your opinion?

Yes, I have an ultimate guitar account.
What I find useful about it is that there will be which ever song you are looking for in various keys, the tabs are not always 100% though other site members can add amendments or corrections in the comments sections.
It’s not only a tab site, there is also great information regarding guitar reviews which is a helpful resource when trying to track down info on little or obscure brand names or manufacturers..

I don’t know about the tab situation since I found it a bit confusing to get tabs on it. Besides if it is just tabs without soundslice I’d find it unusefull for my needs.

If you are looking for guitar pro tabs, shoot me a pm. I ‘m not sure if I saved some 90000 tabs on this computer, but I’ll check if I hear from you. If not, visit this site: http://rutracker.org/forum/index.php

when you sing from the heart, it requires only a guitar. M. Shihab Uddin

Playing music on the guitar is like sculpturing your soul with musical notes. 🙂 6 stringerPete

The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 Pete

Thanks, guys. I was looking for chords and lyrics for “Play That Funky Music, White Boy” and Ultimate Guitar seemed to have the most accurate, although they still didn’t get it right. The song is played in E, but lots of other sites had it in a different key. Anyway, I don’t often look for chords, lyrics, or tabs for popular songs, so maybe it’s not worth spending $40 or whatever to join.

The tabs and chords on most websites range from mediocre to terrible. Ultimate Guitar, in my experience, tends to veer towards the terrible.

Duffy I agree and the reason being it is on purpose .. the tabs are so skewed to make those searches take you to paysites

unless most beginners have enough experience and wisdom to know the difference, lot of those tab crawlers etc are hacked and abused for misleading marketers

I remember trying touse ultimate /tabcrawler etc. probably over a decade ago i knew many those free tab sheet sites were corrupt and just misleading marketers. I won’t say not totally misinformative but no way would I waste time looking for good tabs.

kids here in the united states go to college and take out student loans to learn the art of deception online! ,, Proof is all the trash on todays televised networks lol.. i refuse to buy cable tv box.. i get free antenna broadcasting and see how the FCC enforced it for minorities for the most part .. the bottom line is that it is all a scam and waste.. the FCC are so corrupt in the united states lol
