When I was first learning to play the slide guitar I did a search on bottle neck blues on youtube. One song came up that I absolutely loved. It’s called Swamp Dog Blues by Michael Dowling.
I went to ultimate guitar and there were no tabs so I downloaded the video of my favorite version. I played it through my Transcribe software so I could slow it down and loop it where ever needed and learned how to play it. It is one of my go to songs when I am just jamming for fun and not trying to learn anything.
I did a video of me playing it over coffee a couple of days ago.

Roger, yep, a bit of Jack Daniels is in my blood right now, the mellowness is like one in a canoe paddling along in the Louisiana Bayou
Playing music on the guitar is like sculpturing your soul with musical notes. 🙂 6stringer pete
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6 stringer Pete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

That was soothing. Very nice. Was that played in standard tuning.
Easy going, outdoors, helping others, not judging, and give all the glory to God.

Nicely done Roger…you did a great job using your ear to transcribe this tune.
