Yes Duffy, great for jazz , I bought this mint used few years back and showcased this a few times since,, anyway still mint and excellent playing SH550 Carvin, very well made chambered though not like the three piece Gibson so in that sense it compares to be bit more sterile less resonance but than for 1100.00 I paid, doubt many can build a finer guitar ever for 1700.00 or so it listed at Carvin.. very quality components in these Carvins plus ebony and steel frets ..great finger spacing excellent radius tunes perfect.. plays superior.. next to my SG and Les Paul it is a keeper.. yes played this straight using the Fender blues junior 3 .. put the reverb on 2! this is nice! ain’t mine barrowing it..very impressed with this class A tube amp! ty for for kind reply. yEAH HAD TO PASS ON THAT es 175.. LOL..i GET ONE SOMEDAY..GOT TO FIRST SELL A FEW GUITARS! CHEERS!

Ahhhh, nice laid back relaxed feel John. What lesson would this be?
You always have that “Cool dude in a loose mood” feeling. That’s a good thing, lol

John,
Really top notch. Heard some major pentatonic stuff ala B.B. King. Beautiful guitar with great tone.

You continue to amaze, Sunburst. Not only are you talented musician, but how fast you can learn and memorize these things seems exceptional. I mean EP241 was this Friday’s lesson, and here it is already combined with EP215, also learned just now. Hard to believe!
Fantastic playing on both. What a groove! I don’t have to say it, but keep them coming. What a pleasure to listen. Inspiring.

John,
Awesome playing and one of my favorites of yours and you have had a bunch of them! Love the tone on the guitar and the melodic phrases. How you can memorize these lessons and improvise and do it all is just beyond me…..Great!!!!

Perfect John! A totally relaxed music with a great sound. It is always a surprise with which guitar you play. This is a real beauty. I like the wood grain. Yes, a little musical enjoyment.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

I felt like I was sitting in a jazz club somewhere, listening to a laid-back trio. I would have poured myself a glass of wine and kicked back to relax and listen, but it’s 7:00 AM. Great job!
