Here’s my attempt at EP324. I had lots of fun learning this. Could only do one take (my audience aka kids were getting restless – haha). I’m not precious, any feedback or tips would be appreciated 🙂

Ha ha, I cracked up when I heard the baby talk. As soon as they’re able to walk, they come over and grab your guitar and try to make you stop playing and pay attention to them. And that’s why most of us here on AM are old guys whose kids have grown up and left home. Finally we get some peace and quiet so we can play guitar once again. But well played, and up to tempo.

Steve, you have described my life to a tee! I normally play after they go to bed.

Steve you are perfectly right! But Ethan plays great! I would even say it is close to be perfect.

This is so true! I also usually only play after kids have gone to bed… Which hasn’t been good for my sleep when I lose track of time playing guitar and then realize it’s mid night and have to get up in 6 hours!

You played that solidly throughout for only one take Ethan. Tempo, feel and tone all sounded great!

Spot on job it flowed well and the tone on both bottom and top strings came through well over the backing track.
Your backing band sounded eager to get in on the act as well 🙂

Wow, welcome to the challenges, Ethan!
One take is all you need, I heard nothing but perfection, great groove, great sound, just flawless playing. And you were even able to look at the camera without fumbling, the moment I do that, everything falls to pieces 😉 Love to hear the baby sounds 🙂 You’re a solid player, Ethan, keep them coming!
Oh, and a nice guitar 😉🎸JoLa

Very nicely done. Also the baby sounds brought back memories. As Steve said, us old farts have lots of time but you certainly have quickly learned, include them and its good!

Well done, Ethan. Your not letting the kid distract you from keeping the rhythm, and doing one take is very impressive.

Pretty much perfect, Ethan. Loved it man… And got a good laugh hearing the kids. I have 2 of my own (4 years and almost 1 year olds). Well done and you got to play in front of the best audience!

Ethan, This is played so well, no doubt. Love the tone of your guitar coming through your amp. I can hear that wood! And that powerful pickup.

That’s some mighty fine playing, Ethan! I can see that you are an experienced player with great guitar skills already. Looking forward to your take on EP272. That’s one of my favorite lessons that I practice all the time.
Keep them coming!!

Pretty much same age as my kids 15 months and nearly 4yo! I agree with your earlier comment, normally sit down to play for “10 minutes” when they’re in bed. Next minute I’m at work on my 7th coffee. Gotta fit it all in somehow.

Thanks to everyone who commented. It has been really encouraging to get some feedback and get me thinking about what I’ll do next month (with or without non-Jim Dunlop crybaby wah) haha!
