Hi Guys,
Combined these two MicroLessons to form one Freeform Acoustic Jam. Had a blast, It’s straight up improv, so it’s a little sloppy…but it seems like it actually kinda works. Threw in my own little rhythmic embellishments to add some color etc. Seems like that’s in the spirit of the MicroLesson-Grab an idea and see if you can add to it and try to make it yours.

Great playing, Alberto. You implemented both microlessons nicely, and turned it into your own complete song.
Sounded very soulful to me. And great tone and bass on that guitar.

Alberto,
Really nice. You have a strong rhythmic groove going. Reminds me of classic rock song, but I can’t quite place it.

Very cool Alberto. I liked the rhythmic groove along with the strong base and bell like tone you’re getting from your guitar. – Bret

That was really nice, I especially liked the almost constant, steady runs on the lower strings with the chords splashing above.
It also reminded me of a few classic rock songs, CSNY, Boston and Space In Time-era Ten Years After—can’t think of the titles.

That was really fun to listen to. And HOW did you get such awesome bass out of your guitar? I’ve been searching for that sound for a couple of years, and I just can’t get it.

Great playing, Alberto…..I’ve been putting off exploring that micro lesson….Reminds me of tunes that were popular in the 70’s by folk-rock artists…Even smacks a little of Suite Judy Blue Eyes. You injected some nice life into that sequence. I’m on it…..Looks like you can have a lot of fun with that one.
Thanks for the post!!
MartyPS….sweet guitar….great tone.

Hi Alberto,
Very nice, really enjoyed your playing and like others I loved the tone from your guitar. I couldn’t tell which make/model it was because there was backlighting from the window so you and the guitar were in the shadows. It was a great submission though, thanks for posting.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, probably should have mentioned that the piece is played in “Drop D” tuning that’s why it sounds so deep and Bass like… And for those that asked and couldn’t see my guitar because of the bad lighting (apologies), it’s a Taylor 214 C.

Alberto — I loved every second of that submission. Great tone, clean playing, great composition — it was all there. It really did remind me of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young — and that’s a good thing.
