Nice vocals and strumming…I believe someone stole Clapton’s telecaster he used for most of that album.

A simple sound played simply is often the best way to touch the heart. Very nicely done CT.

I appreciate the kind words. The chord changes come fast and furious on this one, and the movement is a whole bunch of fun to play. A very well written song. Thanks for giving it a listen!

Thank you sir! Admittedly it’s not my strength, but sometimes we have to sing to carry the melody, and in general service to the song. 🙂

Hi Clint,
That is a lovely song: and you play and sing it so beautifully! I have tried to learn this one myself in the past, but could never get the chord progression right.
You have shown me the way to do it! Well played! Thanks for posting it!

Yeah, that’s my favorite version too. He does John Barleycorn with that crackling fire as well IIRC.

DeniseWow, Denise! Thanks so much, I don’t have much faith in my vocals, in fact transposing and the capo are my best friends. As mentioned previously I sing to keep time and help the melody along and to try and serve the song. Thanks!

When the song has a home in your heart, the song is not only felt by you but your audience too.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete
