I’ve seen lessons where it is suggested that a metronome be used to help with timing. One video I watched, suggested using the metronome when practicing scales. How would you do that? If I am practicing a major scale that starts on the root note and ends on the root for a total of 8 notes, would I look at that as one bar? So if practicing 4/4 time, would going from A to A (one octave higher) be consider one bar or 4 beats? Sorry if this is confusing, I’m having difficulty putting this into words.
Thank you in advance for any insight.
