Hey btw, to your question about this being a Dead tune? It sounds a lot like Aiko Aiko that they covered as did the Neville Brothers. Kind of a Cajun New Orleans vibe going on here. Just so you know.

I know Brian is going to show much more ,,he is right when he says more emphasis should be towards rhythm ,, there are so many types of rhythm concepts too.. this was for sure new to me .. anyway, enjoy johnh. I’m practicing a bunch of stuff both rhythm and lead.. also learning the difference between alternating and consecutive picking for rhythm and lead.. much to learn so late in our years lol..wish Learned this stuff decades ago but very satisfied and happy learning it these days! it’s a beautiful thing!

Hey John, this was great as always. If I tried to play reclined like that, I would have a hard time staying awake.

this was the first one I did think if i remembered was around four hours and still messed up the last few easy measures.. my point is nothing gets tight until it’s done right.. i see i didn’t acknowledge the last few easy measures and this is a lesson in and of itself.. lol

My tip to others learn how to read and follow tabliture and take advantage of the soundslice featured here
I understand most don’t use the tabliture and soundslice that is recommended but after a while it makes all the difference .. you crawl at first than take baby steps than after awhile it is cake walk.. I can play any lesson on this site within a few hours from start to finish the very first day if I have the time.. usually about two to four hours..I can play anything I pick on this site.. just sharing the facvts.. many here can’t because they simple don’t use the tools in the woodshed.

I’m an expert playing this way please no body try this at home! yes I sometimes do fall asleep with the guitar and it’s too risky for beginners.. AndreM thanks man, 343 and 344 are a fun lessons.. 6ths 3rds and lot of insightful basic theory that can work with all chords in every Key .. this should be an eye opener for those watching Brian explain the concept. good 2 part series combo lesson
I’m doing country flatpicking now.. later I’ll do some this again and been on a bunch other AM lessons too .. my fingers are freally getting a workout ..feeling i maybe over playing a bit ,feeling sore in the finger lol

Great backing track. You can indeed play for hours and try out a lot. I love to just play something on a backing track. Well done.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.
