Hi
This is my first post on here despite being a long time fan and devotee of blues guitar. My problem is playing major blues. I have used the minor pentatonic scale for so many years, it has become deeply ingrained as sounding right for the blues. When I try to use the major scale I cant get the notes to flow or have any real feeling. I can play the odd BB King style lick and understand where the scales are. but it just doesn’t sound bluesy. Should I be using it to embellish the minor pentatonic or is it possible to improvise a whole blues solo in major?
