Hey Sunburst. Really enjoy your sound and your creative skills. Solid finger picking style as well. Your sound/style reminds me of Earl Klugh’s playing (eg Wishful Thinking). Can I ask you the tuning you are using? Is it: E, G, C, G, C, E?

hello Garry, sure ,, it’s open C tuning.. I found it on another tutorial site ,, Bruce Cockburn acoustic called Foxglove.. I learned that tune last few days I had time a few mugs in the mornings before work.. and it actually close to the same alternate kind of finger style.. I’m practicing here..
tomorrow morning I’ll do that Foxglove tune post /showcase it here too
btw all my AMers.. once again, nothing personal but I had to remove all friendship requests and grants under account because in all honesty everyone is a friend here on Active Melody
peace and good health to all , happy practicing!

Now I got me interested in C tuning. So relaxing.
The melody of the notes is what expresses the art of music . 🙂 6stringerPete
It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

A couple of years back my mate and i went up to Ullapool in the Scottish higlands for a guitar festival, anyway to cut a long story short, the Saturday morning workshop was dedicated to C tuning, Was quite an eye opener to how melodic it is.
Really enjoyed you composition John, you make finger picking look smooth and effortless....Billy..

So sweet Sunburst! Love the harmonics at 0:32!!! Like She Talks To Angels or Roundabout! Great stuff! You have inspired me on two fronts: One, to play my acoustic more. Two, to try different tunings. Rock on! Bob
