Hey!
So I thought I’d give songwriting a go during lockdown since I have bags of time on my hands –
I can’t sing so I had to do my best with the guitar. The lead lines apart from the solo and outro solo represent a sort of melody for how I think it would go if someone was singing it.
Lyrics –
Could you ever die for me
Like I would die for you
Could you ever crawl across the coals
Take a sip from the tainted cup
To stop me growing old
But could you ever die for me
Like I would die for youYou’re never there when I wake up in the morning
I spend the day pining after you
I’m down the back of the couch when it comes to emotions
I fight my way to the top of the hill just to –
disregard the view
But could you ever die for me
Like I would die for youSOLO
Could you ever die for me
Like I would die for you
Could you pour your heart into a mould
See the hurt when you look in my eyes without –
ever being told
But could you ever die for meLike I would die for you
Like I would die for you
Like I would die for you
Like I would die for youOUTRO SOLO
