Here is the October challenge with one of Brian’s most beautiful compositions (in my opinion) … I recorded it without backtrack and with my own timming and some technical mistakes 😉

I can’t see the video, you have to make it “public” not “private”.

The masked guitarist. It sounded great. Your version sounded beautiful as well.

Nicely played. Seems 291 was a popular choice.

Well done. You’ve got the fingering down to perfection, Ekke. Next step: Play along with a backing track so you get the tempo down to perfection.

Very nice, Santiago! It is not an easy lesson, especially for an acoustic guitar, you’re brave to take it on – challenge well done!

Your best one yet, Ekkedui. You are really showing real improvement with each video. Keep it up! Sounding great!

Yes, I agree it’s one of the most beautiful tunes of Brian’s. I picked this one, too. Good job! You got all the notes perfectly. I would use the backing track next. There’s a program I use, which is called Transcribe! It allows you to slow down (or speed up) a MP3 (and other) files. I would start slowly and move up. Wonderful progress here.

A nice flowing sound to the piece and quite engaging

The elusive Santiago 🙂 I love it man. You made that sound good on it’s own without a jam track.. (and acoustic guitar no less). Thanks for sharing!

very nice, great to focus on the melody, and i see you’re studying hard with those fretboard charts on your wall; i used to used them but then my brain got fried; now i stick to a few “boxes” that i know well and can noodle around; but good for you, keep studying, keep going, it’s a never-ending journey and all that counts to me is enjoying every minute of it; over time we just get better by accident, but enjoying it and keeping going up the mountain is what counts; rock on Santiago, and keep ’em coming

Thank you for your always positive comments …
Yes … the challenge now is to play with the backtrack … but I’m lazy for the metronomo and also for the electric guitar … that’s why I prefer to play Brian’s compositions with acoustic … again thanks for the comments. ..
PS: yes … my head is also a bit fried with the diagrams 😉
