Duffy,
I gotta be honest. It didn’t grab me at first but by the end of it, I wanted to buy the record. Absolutly, both your guitar work and your singing were very impressive. Keep em comin!ALL IT TAKES TO WRITE A SONG IS........3 CHORDS AND THE TRUTH!

That was spectacular Duffy. I am very impressed by how skillfulky you applied the lesson as a basis for an entirely different song. I hear Patsy Cline’s Crazy and still recognize the lesson. Needless to mention that your singing and playing were also spot on. Thanks for this one.

A+ on this one, Duffy. I think this is what Brian is trying to teach us….how to take the essence of a lesson and use it for our own creative purposes. Great singing, too.

Wonderful, Duffy! You gave me a very good idea ´cos this song is in my songbook too, however I´m not as good singer as you but I recheck my playing style of this song certainly. Thanks!

Great stuff!
So much fun to listen to. Playing and singing were very good.
Also, great job through the interlude section. The tone was solid and you’re timing stayed spot on.

OK Active Melody members…..this is what it’s all about….making music….being musical….synergy between the vocal instrument and a guitar. Hats off to Duffy for demonstrating his use of “a useful finger style rhythm” and throwing in a familiar melody on top of it. Bravo!!

Great job Duffy – I echo what the others have to say about taking lessons as a learning tool to create your own music. What a superb job you did with this one.
Crazy good! 🙂

Duffy,
I’ve always enjoyed that song. Your application of this lesson to a great tune was well played and perfect application of what Brian is teaching us about thinking out of the box with applications of his lessons. This was one of my favorites of your playing.

That was crazy, Duffy! You have a super good bluesy voice that is really impressive. In the end, I even thought of Frank Sinatra. But also your accompaniment with the guitar fit perfectly.
WilfriedPlay guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

A+ all the way. Especially liked the instrumental fill (without backing track!).
Like others said, this is the goal: to take Brian’s lessons and make our own music.
well done, Duff.

Hi Duff
100% Agree with Canada Duff, the goal of the lesson is to make you’r own one with it … and you nailed it.
Nice song, and nicely played/sung by you
