Captured the mood nicely, Tim, well done.

Nice improvising, Tim, perfectly fit the “dark” mood of the song; and great use of double stops, great example of less-is-more.
ps, that’s some guitar collection; I count 9!all the best to your wife

Lights, Snake, Richard, John & Roger,
Thanks for the kind comments. Yep, my guitar collection keeps on growing but they are all cheap guitars – the one I was playing on this video cost me $55 second hand. The most expensive guitar in my collection is $250 and I have more than 9 guitars now…..quite a few more…..all budget guitars.

Well played Tim and a big thank you for posting in difficult times. If it was me I’d take out a bit of the treble or add a bit more delay, but that’s just me.
Anyway that was really good and I enjoyed it a lot!!
Bon Courage to you and your wife.

Martyn,
Great comments. Thank you. I switched back and forth between increasing and decreasing the treble and I did have more delay but took some of it out when I played it back…..not sure why…you know how it goes…

A great job of improvisation, Tim. It captures the mood perfectly and is enjoyably haunting! Great sound too. I love the look of this guitar. It’s obviously a Strat type but I assume not a Fender? A G&L?
Best wishes to you and your wife.

Brian,
Thanks for the kind words. No, this is a cheapo guitar – brand called Sawtooth out of California. I liked the look of it as you do and the price was so cheap I just went for it!

Very well played Tim, you’re a brave man taking on that much improvisation, but it payed off, the finished product had atmoshere, depth and a beautiful relaxed feel.
All the best for you both ….Richard

Hi Tim, I’m glad you posted this month, have not seen your playing in a while. I enjoyed listening to your improvisation, it was one of the best ones I heard this month, the tone and the notes you played perfectly captured the atmosphere of this dark blues. You got a really good feel for melody all the way through and I can see you are getting more and more confident with improvising, I know that’s something you wanted to focus on, and whatever you’re doing, works!
All the best to you and your wife, wish you strength, too.🎸JoLa

Yes Tim, very nice! Loved your improve and the way you moved around the neck but kept it all moving along nicely. Your vibrato and small bends really helped to add feel. Tastefully done.
As a side note, I would not recommend taking that guitar out into the Arizona sun! Unless of course you are wearing sunglasses.

JoLa, Gene and Jim,
Thanks so much for those really nice comments.
Jim, you’re right! Haha. Yeah, I think I could cook a steak off that mirror reflection in this Arizona sun!

Nicely done. In your hands, that does not sound like a $55 dollar guitar. You did a really good job of creating a Mood.

Hi Duffy,
Really appreciate your feedback. You know how to create a mood yourself with your excellent playing abilities so thanks again!

Just great, Tim. Very nicely played harmoniously. I’m slain by all your guitars.
Strength for you and your wife my friend!Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Nice improv, Tim. I’m amazed that you can just sit down and play improv for that long without running out of ideas. I know what you mean about not being able to focus on practice when other major issues are happening in your life. But if you can improvise like that, maybe instead of memorizing lessons, you should use this time to just hone your improv skills whenever you get a chance to pick up your guitar.

Hi Steve,
Thanks! When I ‘improvise’ I start out by looking at the scale and trying out different combinations of notes so before I did this’improv’ I had spent an hour or so taking a look at the scale and trying out some ideas. As you said weeks ago it’s more of a composition than a true improv.

Hi Tim,
Sorry to hear about your wife. The fact that you manage to participate deserves admiration. I fully agree to what Sunjamr wrote: great improvisation skills. Keep the good work.
