Hi Brian,
Firstly, thank you for your lessons and the way that you teach them: a couple of years in and I my playing is so far ahead of where it was!
You know a huge amount about music but I know a little about marketing and I am worried that you are making a mistake with your new branding of the lessons.
Since you began, your style has been a pic in the bottom right, the EP number at the top, then lesson title and brief description – without reading anything, people knew it was one of your lessons.
The new images are not consistent (Ok, you’ve only done three) and don’t carry the really useful information, as they did in the past. But my main worry is, they don’t say “this is Brian of Active Melody” without further inspection.
What does a tick mean to you, or a golden arch?
Brand imagery is so hard to build up and you’ve done a great job, it seems odd to me to throw all of that effort away.
Tweak what you had to make it a little more modern for sure, but dont stray from your distinctive look and feel.
Obviously, this is just an opinion and, if you tell me take a running jump, I’ll keep learning from you either way 🙂
Cheers, Alistair
