I’ve been looking for a new acoustic amp for some while and finally picked up a Fender Acoustic Junior Amplifier from Andertons in Guildford U.K. last week. This shop is certainly not the closest guitar shop to me but it’s by far the best experience for products and customer service.
Whilst at Anderton’s I tried out a few other contenders, Fishman Loudbox Mini, Boss Acoustic Singer and Marshall AS50D and while they were all similar in performance, I thought the Fender Acoustic Junior had the edge with a good range of effects, plus Bluetooth and a Looper built in.
I also reviewed the Yamaha THR-30IIA from online demos and reviews. On first impressions, this twin Channel, 100w Fender Amp at £379/$450 has most things I want and suits my purpose at home as mainly a solo player.
I will hopefully demo it in one of the future showcases or challenges.Richard
