Wow! I’m envious of your talent. Can’t wait to see and hear the end result. Is this a hobby or are you a fully fledged luthier?

Just a hobby. I wanted to buy a National Reso Electric. But decided to build one of a kind for myself. This is the beginning.

Looks like a lot of time to me congratulations. I thought at first it was many composite blocks all glued up but think on further looking it is a stain either way it’s unique so far as I have seen. All the best how far from estimated finish are you plenty to do no doubt?

JohnStrat, it is individual blocks of maple, walnut, and babinga woods. I cut each individual piece and glued them together. Only Covid would make a person do that. Ha Ha. Anyway here is another picture. Getting ready to cut the neck joint. More to continue. Thanks for all the nice comments.

OMG, that must be skillful, John. Greatest respect.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Man, that’s awesome! I thought it was amazing when I saw the first photos, but I got stunned to see the photo with all the individual pieces before glueing them up.
Amazing work John, and it sounds incredible too!
