Hi all,
Not sure if anyone has brought this up before… Mike Brookfield is a guitarist from Dublin who does quite a few YouTube lessons on various topics. For the past 6 weeks he’s been doing a series on learning the songs off of the Beano album. It started off as a lesson in “All Your Love” and after a lot of positive feedback and encouragement to do so, he decided to offer lessons on every song on the album.
Granted, his lessons are meant for more moderate to advanced players in that he’s not going to break everything down note for note. What he does do is breaks the song/solo up in phrases and slows them way down and repeatedly plays them so you can see what he’s doing.
For anyone who counts Clapton as an influence in their guitar playing, this album is everything from a primer to a master class in his early style and techniques. Lots of good stuff in these, I encourage you to check them out. Mike is a super nice guy who will take the time to follow up with you if you have a question about something, too.
Here’s the link to this week’s lesson on “Key To Love”-
