I wanted to work up a nice, slow blues number and thought I’d work on Microlesson 060 – Slow Blues Shuffle in A. It didn’t work out quite like I planned and I ended up with a tragically sad song that will tear your heart out.

Hey Clarke … Them beans was hot! I’m healed up on the outside but still live with the nightmare! Thanks for the nice comment and I hope them turds in your eye are all dried up. Rock on bro!

Destined to be a classic Richard. Great lyrics and a steady driving blues rhythm and beat. I’ll never look at another string bean the same way. Good luck next time when you enter the kitchen!

Really cool, Richard. I like the percussion-free style. Kind of reminds me of John Mayall’s 1970s album “USA Union”, which was entirely percussion-free and considered to be very innovative for the times. Like this:

Hey Steve! Thanks buddy! Really enjoyed that Mayall number you shared! Incredible talent! I may not ever reach his mastery but I sure have fun. Take care!

Haha, what a cool tune this is Richard! I did not know what to expect, but it’s very funny and really well played (and sang)! Great licks, wonderful bends and a perfect sound!
Best regards,

Thanks Patrick! I sure had fun! There’s so many things you can do with the old 1,4,5 shuffle, it can keep you busy for a darn long stretch. It was mostly just a progressive jam that seemed to develop on it’s own.

Hey thanks Andre! The old coot that I am had to look up frear. Never heard that’n but I don’t get out too much. Oh, but the other day some young fella liked my t-shirt (I guess) … he said , “man, that’s a dope shirt!” I thanked the lad but I been thinkin bout it ever since. … just wonderin about all the vernacular that’s out there. Anyway … I’m rambling … thanks again, friend!
