Been away for a while (nice vacation in Russia), and haven’t had a chance to do the last challenge or this months. Been focusing a lot in acoustic fingerstyle recently. Here’s an arrangement of the lovely Beatles song I’ve been working on.

Very nicely played Duffy, that was a beautiful piece. I sensed you got stronger with your fingering as you went through the number. A great posting, thanks.

Beautiful, Duffy. Amazing collection of chords that I couldn’t even name.

Absolutely fantastic, Duffy. I thought the entire thing was brilliant! You seem to be the master at finding melodies out of chord shapes and bringing it all together into a song. This is something that I have no hope in doing right now, but am highly interested in. I’m curious, have there been any specific AM lessons that you have done in the past that have helped you get to this point?

This one is a really nice intro to combining melody with chords.

Very nice, Duffy. Unmistakable Michelle from the Fab Four, but you gave it a jazzy twist which sounds great.

Beautiful arrangement, Duffy, and you’re playing it with such feeling, it’s a pleasure to listen to. I was expecting to hear you sing as well, maybe next time 🙂

Duffy,
nice version of one of my favourite Beatles songs! In fact, it was the Beatles, who started me playing the guitar! Love the FAB FOUR! Thx for sharing!Eric

That was excellent Duffy. You have great control changing chords…quickly, cleanly and in tempo. Nice finger picking also.

I got no words, Duffy! This is so amazing and beautiful so I can’t find right words to describe your playing, man. EP-139 is one of my favorite lessons too.
Btw, what’s nice in Russia? I lived there while was in Soviet Army two years. Have seen only drinking and thieving there.
It was 30 years ago but nothing is change I suppose, or is it?

We were in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I think Petersburg is a great city. It looks like the older, stodgy sections of London, has the street-life, cafe feel of Paris, and canals reminiscent of Venice. We saw great ballets and concerts there. Several times we saw street musicians who were classically well-trained, and outstanding whether doing classical or pop stuff.
The food was great. The people were warm and friendly. And I discovered Kvass.
Can’t speak for what it was like 30 years ago, and I’m sure it still has some deep-rooted problems.

Hey Duffy, that was truly a masterpiece. You made it look too easy. Don’t take this wrong, but I think you owe it to the world to re-record it using a better recording process. Your playing is so excellent that – to me – it’s time to take the recording toward a more professional standard. There are millions of people out there watching Youtube who would love to hear your playing. And singing.

Was going to ask about you Duffy Welcome back home and sounds like you had a great time! Glad you had a lovely vacation, Man this was delightful soft jazz rendition of Michelle.. A good bunch of pretty chord voicing nice touch too. Acoustic Beatle songs are awesome, and one can learn much just playing them too. Nice acoustic tone too!

What a sophisticated arrangement! Chocked full of dissonant ‘Duffy’ chords. Outstanding musicianship! Good to hear you posting again Duffy.
