ParticipantWell my perfectionist self wanted to do another take (I flubbed some potentially beautiful runs) but this old tired body just said it’s good enough.
No tabs, just got it from watching one of my favourite internet guitarists Vinai T. from Thailand.Beautiful tune by fellow Canadian Michael Buble:

ParticipantBeautiful melody and so well played. There are some real fast and precise slides involved and your playing in the upper register was excellent. The tone must have been rolled off some to have such smooth treble without any bite.
That took a lot of work but was definitely worth the effort.
Marvelous piece, performed very well with great feeling and emotion. I think you’ve accomplished what you were after, with this one. -

ParticipantI almost missed this. I’m so glad I didn’t. This is one of the nicest tunes I’ve heard here on AM. You really nailed it after a little nervous start. I thought it was absolutely wonderful. I listened to it twice. Thanks for making my evening!!!

Participant. How long did you take to work this out, there is a lot of detail?
My wife recommended i learn this song, so I bought the sheet music for the chords and melody and tried to play it as a finger-style acoustic.
Then I saw a video by Vinai T playing it as electric solo so i just followed his fingers and learned it that way. Start to finish took about 2 weeks. -

ParticipantRoger,
… one of my favorite’s. Check out Buble and Blake Shelton singing it.Both great singers; I actually tried to get a “vocal tone” on the guitar, to sound like a singer’s voice like these guys.

Thanks man for the treat.thanks Billy, your support and encouragement are always appreciated, as it is from the all AM forum members. The feedback from everyone just makes me want to learn and record another one. The question is always: what’s next? Any suggestions?

Participantwhere did you get your orchestra, really nice.
Heard some trace of George Benson in there.thanks Andre. The orchestra BT is one of many available for this song on the internet.
And that little run using “octaves” near the end is more of a Wes Montgomery thing but George Benson used it too. Very difficult to learn and execute; you have to mute the middle string between the octave notes. -
