Hello AM’rs, I did this in three takes and just made it up this morning. I feel pretty good about it…got some good tone from the line 6 and a bluesy/hard rock feel. Hope everyone is well and I look forward to seeing evryone’s submission.
Cheers. Pap -

Hey Pap,
You’ve probably already noticed that I’m a man who loves a power chord overdriven with that kind of crunch.
Interesting groove – did you use anything for inspiration or was it all on the spot?
Well done for getting in 3 takes.
Loved it.
Liam.

You definitely put the ‘C’ in crunch here Pap! You’ve got a mean sound oozing out of your guitar. Beginning could be a follow up to ‘Smoke on the Water!’ Really dug it and only 3 takes! You have to be pleased with that. Keep on pickin’ and all the best! 🥸🎸🥸

Very nice crunchy power chords and groove, very well linked together with short effective licks, Pap! Well done!

That had a lot of substance for a something that came together just this morning. It was rather compelling in its storytelling and with power chords to match. Well played, that had a mission.

Great sound Pap, those power chords really growled! That had a kind of Doors meets Deep Purple groove, pulling the listener in. wondering where it was going to go next. Wow! Enjoyed that!

This is rough, this authentic and some kind of fascinating, Pap. It has power and sensibility at the same time. I enjoyed it very much!

Great sound! In my mind I was taken to my recording of Woodstock both in the tones & some of the ideas & dynamic changes, there was a story here. By the way thank you for your kind (& amusing) feedback on my sub from last month – I really appreciated it. Best wishes.

Hey Pap, I almost get a bit of Pink Floyd vibe from this one. Of course, you would need all the clocks ticking and bells ringing too, but hey, it’s got the vibe. Nice improv!

Any crunchier and Nestle would sue you for infringement. Despite its simple structure, this little composition had a lot of movement and the picking projected a lot of power. Slammin’.

Well done Pap – I think you completed the brief admirably. That was very atmospheric- it would make a great opening theme for a psychological thriller on tv.

I’ve always admired your great rhythm chops Pap, and I loved your electric rhythms here. What a cool composition. Your lead licks were well written and played too. Fantastic vibrato at the end of your phrases. It’s inspiring to hear you continually progress as a guitarist – you’ve got talent.
Cheers, Tom

It’s very interesting how you’ve layered this composition with lead and rythm, well done Pap!

Great crunchy sound and you played it well Pap. I love that clashing, ringing sound you get around 2.10.
I enjoyed it very much.

Well, that’s how hard rock should sound. And you made it. Excellent blueprint of that style. Thank you

That was cool and rockin’, well done; solid approach. Thumbs up.

Hi Pap
You have created a perfectly sculpted and involving rhythm and sound, and also the construction of the piece seems perfectly coherent to me.

Great crunchy tone. Cool groove.
Be kind to yourself (especially when you're trying to play this instrument!)
